Resad Pasic M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Pasic is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Director of the Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women’s Health at the University of Louisville. Dr. Pasic was the first in the world to start teaching laparoscopic surgery on human cadavers and he is a Director of the AAGL Course on Anatomy, Dissection and Reparative Pelvic Surgery on Unembalmed Female Cadavers, which is administered annually in Louisville, Kentucky for 25 years.
Dr. Pasic was the recipient of the Jefferson County Medical Society Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Medical Profession and to the Community at Large in 1993. He was also selected by his peers and awarded a “Best Doctors in America Award” for 2006-16. In 2008, Dr. Pasic received the MOSAIC award from a local non-profit organization recognizing immigrants who have made significant contributions in their profession and in the community. He received The Best Surgeons in Louisville award in 2010 and 2014. He was the Honorary Chair of AAGL 49 Global Congress on MIGS.
In 2022 Louisville Mayor Greg Fisher’s Proclamation honoring Dr. Resad Pasic on behalf of City of Louisville for his service to Medicine, Education and University of Louisville.
In 2022 Dr. Pasic was the recipient of the prestigious John Steege award for surgical mentorship recognizing an outstanding AAGL MIGS Fellowship Director, AAGL Global Meeting.
Dr. Pasic is internationally recognized leader in MIGS. He has published five textbooks, 62peer reviewed articles, 75 abstracts, 39 Book Chapters, 41 educational videos and 5 textbooks.
Dr. Pasic has been a demanded speaker at conferences and courses and he has performed numerous live tele-surgeries world-wide. He has educated 25 MIGS AAGL fellows and 32 generations of OB/GYN residents.
Dr. Pasic has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of AAGL and in 2009 he served as its President in 2009-2010. He has also served as the fellowship Board Director for Minimally Invasive Gynecology at 2011. Dr. Pasic also served as President of the International Society of Gynecologic Laparoscopy ISGE 2019-2021.
